How Asphalt is inherited

Asphalt is co-dominant: one copy produces a visual Asphalt, and two copies produce the Super Asphalt. Breeding a Asphalt to a normal gives about 50% Asphalt babies.

New to these terms? See the genetics glossary.

Asphalt is allelic with Gravel, Specter, Yellow Belly: they sit at the same spot on the chromosome, so an animal can carry at most two of them, and pairing them produces combination morphs.

Part of the Yellow Belly complex.
